Have you seen these itty bitty moo cards?  You can use them as biz cards, gift tags, Christmas cards, bookmarks…  Here are more moo ideas.

Don’t leave all those glorious photos sitting an old box- go play! Happy Sunday!

What is reality?

Before—-

After—–

may2009-ej-jogging-suit-cake000a

In this age of amazing digital enhancement I frequently find myself caught in the delicate dance of realistic photo editing.  I can whiten teeth, smooth skin, remove zits, reduce wrinkles, britghten eyes…  but just because I can… does that mean I should?

Kiddos are pretty easy— I will print the WITH OUCHIE photograph.  It would seem criminal not to showcase her as a real toddler… bruises, boogers and all.

But what about adults?  Do we want to remember ourselves with flaws and wrinkles and dark circles under our eyes?  Or is it okay to pretend that we look a tad bit better than we really do?  Perhaps the reason our society has such a tainted view of reality via magazines and mainstream media is because of one my favorite tools ever. Photoshop. Photoshop. Photoshop.

Photo Soup Cans

dsc_0246

This is my Can-O-Cards project!  I adhered photos to recycled soup cans to house the 40 cards we made for Daddio’s birthday!  This would be an easy idea for a handmade and memorable Mother’s Day or Father’s Day gift—fill the can with cards or treats or pencils?!

We filled our cans with mini photo cards—

Emerson's Birth Announcements!

Two years ago this month… my little lady was born. This is what I created for her:

ej-birth-an

Naturally, I couldn’t decided on just one design so I had two versions. Both included a little keepsake; this foldable bookmark wrapped in delicate pink (or was it peach?) ribbon!!

ej-birth-an-2

My first version was a wide format style card. Wide format means it’s 7 inches long when closed– but features a whopping 14 inches of printable space inside when opened!

The second design was an accordion style card… each panel featured my fav photos and quotes.

There is only the miracle of the this moment.  Savor it.  It is a gift.

All the graphics were from the amazing graphic artist and photographer Jamie Schultz.  Now I’ll see if I can find Mason and Krischan’s!   My this is fun walking down memory lane. I’m really feeling nostalgic now.

Christmas Thank You Notes

In 2007 I started a new THANK YOU tradition— Christmas photo notes.  I really wanted a way to show appreciation for all our wonderfully thoughtful gifts.  These little guys were mini notes.

I used holiday gift tag templates from the sensational Heather Ann– here and just added photos… quick, easy and fun.

I *kinda* cheated this year.  This is the same design I used LAST year– new photo— same color!

Design from:

Mason enjoyed passing these out at preschool today.  This was the first year he addressed both the TO and FROM…

Birth Announcement

h3l2I’m sure it doesn’t surprise you that I had THREE birth announcement designs for Blaise.  How could I choose just one?

In this card I made a tri-fold with vibrant & happy colors with a touch of wimsy.

  • *Quote in center reads:  Sometimes in the middle of an ordinary life God gives us miracles.
  • *Silk ribbon from: Paper Mart (I use this ultra gorgeous ribbon for any and everything special– buisness, holiday, wrapping…love it!)
